Fixed Station Resistance Machines have pneumatically operated electrode heads which can be rotated so that they can be positioned for either horizontal or vertical operation. The machines are supplied complete with process timing, indicators, ammeter, and power selection switch. Power ratings cover the range from 1 kVA to 70 kVA with larger sizes to special order.

The electrode holders fitted are water cooled and can be used for the range of round and rectangular electrodes manufactured at Solbraze. In order to enhance the flexibility of the system, twin moving electrodes, both horizontal and vertical, may be fitted as extras. Water cooling is built into the base of the machine as required.

A system of on/off pulses within the overall heating cycle allows the heat generated in the electrodes and in the electrode contact area to be conducted into the workpiece to avoid surface damage on large assemblies.
