Solbraze was founded in 1963 by five engineers interested in process heating engineering. Over the following period of 40 years the business developed into a service to industry providing manufacturing solutions for soldering brazing or heating processes.
Over time the problems have become more complex and so solutions needed to be increasingly sophisticated. Some of the techniques developed over this period have been proved to be both effective and competitive, while as far as can be established are unique to Solbraze. The company is known throughout the world as the expert in its field.
The principal founder retired in 1987 when the business was sold to Paul Saxty and John McNair. Rob Whyte joined as Commercial Director in August 2005 and the company has continued to grow since.
Solbraze sells, internationally, a vast range of soldering and brazing equipment ranging from high value Induction Heating , and lower cost Resistance and Precision Gas Heating equipment (all three processes being used for soldering or brazing), and automatic solder dipping machines (rotary or linear), to "static" solder pots, rotary "dross free" solder pots, hot plates, hot air conveyor ovens, smaller resistance machines, soldering irons and branding tools, ultrasonic irons and baths as well as a range of solders and brazing alloys and also undertakes third party work.
Solbraze's strength is in its ability to offer customers a choice of the three main heating methods which can be used for soft soldering, silver soldering and brazing.
Whether it is in the small one man type business or in the larger manufacturing operations, Solbraze has delivered numerous successful installations. Recent customers include Siemens, Rockware Glass, Schaffner, University of Greenwich, Pirelli, Ministry of Defence and Sogefi. |
