Solbraze has recently completed, delivered and installed a new machine to recover the moulds used in beer bottles with a nickel powder.
This exciting machine uses four Eutectic SuperJets mounted on a precision made machine that accepts different mould types. This machine has dramatically improved repeatability as well as showing massive time savings over manual operation of the SuperJet guns. The guns are mounted on a controlling arm, that can be adjusted to direct the flame to different parts of a mould. The guns use oxygen and acetylene, which is coupled together using Solbraze's manifold technology.
An operator controls the machine using a simple to use PLC controller and is capable of completing the nickel spray operation for four moulds within two minutes. This particular exercise once again shows the versatility of Solbraze and the way in which Solbraze will embrace new projects and designs. There has been considerable interest in this machine at its new premises and we hope to produce further design types.
