We have recently completed a number of machines for a manufacturer of vehicle oil, air & petrol filters.

Making use of our Precision Flame Equipment, we were able to 'reflow' the inner faces of the plastic end caps by impinging flame from rotating burners onto the plastic. The operation, carried out in a matter of a few seconds, is then brought into contact with the pleated paper cartridge, whilst the plastic is still in the reflow state. The bond is immediate creating a solid leaktight seal.  This process has removed a number of expensive stages from the manufacture of these components and completes the joining of paper element to plastic endcap as an automatic process.
